Vietnam Cultural Lecture Held in Cooperation with Nara Prefecture

The Nara International Strategy Center(Nara ISC) of the Nara National University Corporation
held a Vietnam Cultural Lecture titled “Traveling Vietnam, Tasting Vietnam” on Friday, February 20,
at the Nara Colleges Exchange Terrace, in cooperation with Nara Prefecture.

The lecture was organized for residents, students, and employees in Nara Prefecture,
with the aim of introducing the attractions and current situation of Vietnam and promoting international understanding and multicultural exchange.

Two Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) from Vietnam,
serving in Kizugawa City, Kyoto Prefecture, and Nara Prefecture, were invited as guest speakers.
They introduced various aspects of Vietnam, focusing on major tourist destinations and food culture.

Participants learned about the distinctive characteristics and regional cuisines of different areas,
including Hanoi in the north, the ancient capital of Hue and the resort city of Da Nang in central Vietnam,
and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. Through these presentations, attendees were able to experience the rich diversity of Vietnamese culture.
Following the lecture, many questions were raised, reflecting the high level of interest in Vietnam among the participants.

The next cultural lecture, focusing on Uzbekistan, is scheduled to be held at the same venue on Friday, March 6.
In continued cooperation with Nara Prefecture, the Nara ISC will remain committed to providing opportunities
for students and local residents to deepen their intercultural understanding and broaden their global perspectives,
thereby promoting international exchange.
