Nara Women’s University Graduate Student Holds Report Meeting After Participating in the CSW Youth Forum as a Japanese Representative

A graduate student of Nara Women’s University participated in the Youth Forum of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as a representative of Japan. A report meeting was held on Wednesday, April 8, at the Nara Colleges Exchange Terrace (Headquarters Building of the Nara National University Corporation).

The presentation was delivered by Ms. Yukino Kozaka, a second-year master’s student in the Department of Culture and Humanities. She was dispatched for the first time as a youth representative of the Japanese government delegation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Gender Next Generation Network Program.”

During the session, she shared vivid insights into gender equality in the international community and the challenges facing the next generation. She also spoke about her experiences at the international conference from a student’s perspective, including behind-the-scenes aspects such as networking outside the formal sessions.

Participants commented that “attending an international conference greatly broadened my perspective” and that “it encouraged me to take a step from campus to the global stage.”
